EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Brittany Murphy's Dad Is "Mystified" Over Her Sudden Death

Brittany Murphy’s distraught father Angelo Bertolotti is ‘mystified’ over his famous daughter’s sudden death and remains suspicious of her husband Simon Monjack, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
Former mob member Bertolotti -- who had not seen Murphy in 8 years -- is hoping that a police investigation into the Clueless star’s sudden death from a cardiac arrest on Sunday at her Hollywood Hills home will not reveal any foul play.

But at the moment he is still struggling to understand how his multi-talented daughter died unexpectedly at the age of only 32.
Murphy's British husband, Monjack was spotted wearing pajama bottoms and no shoes, and appeared "dazed" as firefighters tried to save her according to neighbors.

Bertolotti told RadarOnline.com: “I still cannot believe it - I’m totally mystified that Brittany could die so young.
“There is a police investigation currently going on and I hope it will provide some answers because I’m totally shocked by her death.
“I’m trying to figure it out for myself but really there is nothing I can do because she is gone now.
“I never met her husband but I read about his problems when he got off that flight from Puerto Rico.
“I hoped that she would be happy with the guy but I really don’t now if he was the right person for her.
“Hopefully, the police will be able to get to the bottom of what actually happened – I’m sitting waiting for a phone call with more information.”

Bertolotti divorced the star’s mother, Sharon, when she was young and hadn't seen Murphy in the past few years - he said he used to be in the Mob and served prison time on federal drug charges.
And he admitted to RadarOnline.com that he doesn’t know if he will travel from his home in Florida to go to his famous daughter’s funeral.
He added: “I don’t think I will go because I haven’t spoken to Brittany’s mom in a long time and I know she will be devastated.

“The last time I met my daughter was about 8 years ago when we had a meal in Los Angeles together before I moved back to Florida.
“She could be demanding but she was a very talented person who always worked hard ever since she was a child and she was really close with her mom.
“Sometimes she would buy me small gifts and I’m sad that we had not spoken much in the last few years.
“My favorite film of Brittany’s was Clueless because nobody expected it to be such a big Hollywood hit and she was terrific in it.
“I can’t believe she is dead at only, 32, and in time I hope I can bring myself to watch some of her movies but certainly not just now.”

wow!!! i didnt know her dad was not in her life, it makes it even sadder.
I hope he goes to her funeral though.

this is so sad that her father was out of her life for so many years. i hope this shows other parents just how short life can be, and if you dont having anything to do with your child or children , pick up that phone. cause one never knows
