Does anyone know if there will be a memorial service for the public?

She was a good actress and a very beautiful lady. Her life was cut too short, my heartfelt sympathies to her loved ones. What a difficult time to ever lose a child and over the Holidays too. God Bless! RIP Brittany.

May they be blessed with wonderful memories of Britney's sweet sunshine. My heartfelt condolences to her mother, husband and family. Her memory will be forever memorialized during the holiday season. Celebrate her life!!

Christmas time will always be a sad time for that family whether her funeral is on Christmas Eve or not simply because she passed away just before Christmas and they will always remember that. Sincerest sympathy and prayers to her family.

I guess that's what works for them. I don't think I'd want to remember Christmas Eve as the day I buried my loved one, but maybe Christmas will be more bearable if it is behind them. Either way, my heart goes out to them :(

No one probably wants to remember it that way, but since she died less than a week before Christmas, this time will always remind them of her death. They probably prefer this to deferring a proper burial and memorial.

Why don't they wait until after the holidays? What's the hurry? The holidays will be miserable either way. God bless her.

Why wait? It's not as if they can put this out of their minds, now or any other Christmas. Funerals usually occur within a week of death, so why wait? Waiting for her funeral would make Christmas even harder on them.
