Elisabeth Hasselback Apologies To Stanley Tucci For On-Air Mistake About Dead Wife

On Thursday, Stanley Tucci dropped by to chat with the ladies of The View to promote his latest film The Lovely Bones. Following up on Tucci’s comment about how his wife Kate wanted him to turn down the part after reading the book (he plays the novel’s villain who has a penchant for raping and murdering young girls), Elisabeth Hasselback piped up and asked him if his wife had seen any of the movie.

However, Kate passed away in May from cancer. Trying to move on from the awkward moment, Tucci quickly responded “No” then looked to Barbara Walters and the other women to move on.
Shortly after the incident, Hasselback took to her Twitter page to explain the gaffe and the fallout.
“It was an honest mistake with stanley tucci today & i called him to apologize,” she wrote. “He forgave me (such grace)- if only i could forgive myself...”

I am not a fan of EH, but I am sure she feels bad. Everyone on the view has made their share of mistakes none of them are perfect either.

For God's sake Elizabeth made a mistake. That's why they call them mistakes.
Now Joy Behar, she is the nails on the chalkboard. She is so overboard with her personality. I would pay money for them to get rid of her.

Less time Republican speed talking and more time learning about the Guests of the show,
Very Unprofessional and the main reason I no longer watch the show. Her voice is like nails on a chalk board.

Poor girl! It could have happened to anyone. Elizabeth is the only reason I watch the show. I do like Barbara... but can't stand WG or JB. Elizabeth is the only relatable "sane" one on the panel... love that girl!!

ever notice when a star is on,most of their time looking & talking to BW, WG or JB & when elizabeth talks 2 the guest the other ladies always end up talking over elizabeth. she's not a good match for the show & always seems 2 want 2 fight.

at least I'm not the only one that can't stand watching her. She's loud, stupid and talks too fast, she's not mature enough to co-host that show.

I'll only watch the show when she's NOT on..the ladies need to replace her..she dead weight and not very bright! Come to think about it, she's a lot like Sarah Palin! Both losers.
