Courtney Love Loses Legal Control of Daughter

Courtney Love has lost legal control over her 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
In papers filed Friday at Los Angeles Superior Court temporary guardianship was granted to Wendy O’Connor and Kimberly Cobain, mother and sister of Courtney’s late husband, and father of Frances, singer Kurt Cobain.
The guardianship is for both Frances’ personal and financial well-being, although the guardians will not have control over the trust that was created for Frances after her father’s death.
This isn’t the first time Love has lost control of her daughter. In October 2003 she lost custody of Frances when she was ordered to live with Wendy O’Connor following Love’s arrest for an attempted break-in to her ex-boyfriend’s home, a drugs overdose and a suicide threat . It took Love till January 2005 to regain custody.

Courtney Love has been rumored to be spending money from that trust for ages on designer clothes, drugs, plastic surgery, etc. for herself. That woman is just one big piece of crazy. Thankfully, her daughter doesn't take after her.

Frances is actually a very normal, seemingly intelligent young lady who doesn't seem to have been negatively affected by her too much (yet, and hopefully, never). Court is a mess though - no denying!

Why would anyone let Courtney Love raise a child? After Kurt shot himself the child should have went to a more stable environment. Despite Courtney I think Frances Bean is like her dad and will okay.

I follow Frances Bean on Twitter and I have to say it doesn't seem like Courtney has had much impact on her fortunately. She seems to be a very intelligent and well adjusted young lady.

I'll be glad when Frances is 18 and can decide who she wants to be with. Courtney's screwups won't be her problem anymore.

The guardians should have stepped in a long time ago. Lets hope the mother hasnt done permanent damage to this girl . Courtney is a mess who should be in lockdown rehab for a year.

Poor Frances Bean. I know it's her mom & all, but she'll be better off without that trainwreck.
