Carrie Underwood is getting married!
Underwood’s boyfriend, Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher, proposed to the American Idol cutie on Sunday, confirming the engagement to the Ottowa Sun.
“It’s true,” said Fisher. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”

Senators teammate Chris Neal said Fisher called him not long after proposing.
“I think it’s great. It’s a long time coming. There’s going to be a lot of broken hearts in Ottawa with all these girls who are in love with Mikey,” said Neal.

Underwood and Fisher have been dating for a year and have managed to mostly keep their relationship out of the public spotlight. However, Underwood put a shout out for her hockey beau in the liner notes of her new album, Play On.
