BREAKING NEWS: Brittany Murphy Dead

Actress Brittany Murphy, 32, died Sunday morning.
Murphy’s shocking and sudden death stunned Hollywood and triggered a preliminary investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to an emergency call at 8 a.m. PST Sunday and transported Murphy to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. A hospital spokesperson said Murphy was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said they received a call at 11:30am from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center requesting the coroner to pick up Murphy’s body. The Coroner’s office also is launching an investigation into the cause of death, which is listed as cardiac arrest.
Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, reportedly called 911 from the couple’s home in the Hollywood Hills.
The actress starred in “Clueless,” “Just Married” and “8 Mile.”

In 2006, she released the single "Faster Kill Pussycat," which became a dance club hit.
Her last big movie was "Sin City" in 2005.

Murphy was born in Atlanta, GA, on November 10th 1977 and was raised in Edison, NJ.
Brittany and her mom moved to Burbank, CA, when she was 13 and she landed her first acting gig, on the TV show Blossom. This lead to a starring role on Drexell's Class, a short-lived TV show.
Her first major movie role was in the 1995 flick, Clueless which she starred in with Alicia Silverstone.
Brittany was engaged twice, to talent manager Jeff Kwantinetz, and to Joe Macaluso. She also dated Ashton Kutcher before his marriage to Demi Moore.
Brittany married her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack, in a private Jewish ceremony in May 2007.
Murphy made headlines earlier this month when her husband was rushed to an LA hospital after their plane landed at LAX. Murphy didn't think it was serious apparently, saying it was just an asthma attack, but the fire department disagreed, and reports say that he was "incoherant" when he arrived at the hospital.

Oh no, what sad news. Sympathy to her husband, parents and family. I liked her bubbly personality and thought she was a good little actress. RIP Brittany.

I grew up watching some of her films such as Clueless and watching King of the Hill and was so shocked when I saw she had died. I hope that her passing into the next life is glorious is full of sunshine and laughter.

Sad!! So young! How horrible for her loved ones. Those that feel the need to speculate on the cause of death should "put the shoe on the other foot" for a moment. At this point, it doesn't really matter how she died....
