In an explosive recorded audio conversation obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Dina Lohan reveals her anguish over a failed attempt to get her daughter Lindsay Lohan into rehab and what she calls the "mess" that resulted from trying to give her an intervention.

The taped phone call, made in September of 2008, is between Dina and Lindsay's dad, Michael Lohan.

"You don't even know what I'd go through trying to get her into, like, rehab and stuff," Dina is heard telling Michael. "She'd like, punch me in the face, kick me out of the car...like you don't know the (expletive) I went through trying to get her an intervention by myself. It was very difficult."

Dina continues, "She's really sad and really hurt and really...despondent. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18...she did. I couldn't leave these other three (Dina's three other kids with Michael) to go get her and it was, like, a mess."
Michael Lohan Says Prescription Drugs Are Killing Lindsay
Michael Lohan has publically claimed his concern for Lindsay's life and that she has an addiction to prescription pills and that ex-wife Dina is lying about his intentions to the press.
On Wednesday, RadarOnline.com released a heart wrenching audio tape of a distraught and hysterical Lindsay, sobbing to her father about her life. The recording sparked immediate controversy about why Lohan would publically disclose something so private about his daughter.

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Lohan says he only released the personal audio tapes because he's afraid for his daughter's life, and he's tired of being targeted as the bad guy.
"I admit, I'm being a bit selfish in releasing the tapes," he told us. "But I'm tired of being lied about. I'm tired of Dina and others making me out to be someone I'm not, so now I'm going to prove to the world who the real liars are."

I've never been a fan of hers but her disgraceful parents have made me really feel for her! It's no wonder she has issues! I hope she gets better and becomes a MUCH better person than either of them will ever be!

Some thing smells like a publicity stunt here. If Heller was introduced to Jon Gosselin by Lohan, then we all have seen the PR crap Heller thinks brings in opportunities to clients, he promotes the negative attention.

Is everyone forgetting that Lindsay ALREADY went to rehab, twice i think...? Remember, she was texting Samantha from it...it hasn't been that long & im sure that is what Dina is referring to.

Say what you will about Dina lying to the public & saying Lindsay was fine when she wasn't - but hell I'd expect my mother to keep my **** private too - the public really has no right to know what is going on with her privately.

Lindsay desperately needs help, and they should be seeking it privately! Dina is setting Ali up to be in the same situation by letting her live with Lindsay. She should be living at home & going to school not traipsing the world!
