Rihanna is a fashion rebel but her bold statement at the American Music Awards on Sunday night was just a bit of showmanship.

The songstress rocked a black tattoo on her chest as she performed on stage. The new ink, which read "Rated R", got watchers buzzing about what it said and if it was permanent.

For the record, the tattoo is just temporary and Rated R is the name of her new album.
