The Queen of daytime TV is officially ending her reign.

Oprah Winfrey's production company, Harpo, released a statement Thursday saying Oprah will announce the date of her last show on a Friday taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The last show will be at the end of the 25th season on September 25th, 2011.

The announcement comes after months of speculation that Oprah would not be renewing her contract when it expires in two years time.

In January Oprah announced the launch of her own TV network, aptly named OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, in conjunction with Discovery Communications.
OWN's mission is to create multiple platforms for women, men and their families with a purpose and a passion: to celebrate life, to inspire and entertain, empowering viewers around the world to live their best lives, and by doing so, lift the lives of those around them in ever-widening circles.
It is thought that Oprah plans to move her hit show to the OWN network, which is as of yet to launch.

Can Dr Phil go with her! I used to like both Oprah and Dr. Phil when he was on her show and then started his own, but good grief, it all went to their heads and their stupid New Age crap is misleading to vulnerable people who tune in. GO NOW!

I stopped watching Oprah years ago. All I remember about her is she diets, exercises, loses weight then goes on binges and gains it all back. Boring!

We have two more years of Oprah with celebrities hawking their movies. She can't go away fast enough for me!

Im glad. She pushes producs an ideas without giving the full information on it. Vulnerable people who are seeking help find her and are sucked into buying everything she hawks at them. I hope here best but its about time she gets off my tv

Oprah has talked through the years of ending her show, then just when the time comes to end it she decides to stay. So I am not even going to believe this until 2011 comes, that is along ways off.
