Nicole Richie Puts Herself on Bed Rest

Nicole Richie took to her website on Tuesday to apologize for missing a few scheduled appearances in recent weeks.

The reason? She has to stay in bed and recuperate after a bout with pneumonia.
"Right now it’s important for me to stay in bed and recover," she wrote on her blog. "Reading all of your messages on Twitter and my website has really brightened my spirits and I am so grateful for the support. I look forward to seeing you all very soon and wish you a happy Thanksgiving."

She recently had to skip out on the Bebe-House of Harlow 1960 evening and the Holt-Renfrew Calgary opening.

Always the survivor, Richie promises to bounce back to support and promote her various projects: "I will definitely be back in the Spring when Winter Kate launches."

Good for her! She's turned into a very sweet person! I'll bet most mothers wish they could put themselves on bed rest when sick! Nannies are awesome!
