NEW PHOTOS: RPattz In Japan, Fans Go Wild!

A 15-hour flight from Los Angeles landed Robert Pattinson in Chiba, Japan for the start of his world-wide New Moon promotion tour Sunday morning and there were hundreds of screaming fans waiting to greet him.

RadarOnline.com was there when RPattz left Los Angeles Saturday and noted that the Brit actor is now a New York Yankees fan. He was still wearing his Yankees hat when he arrived at Narita International Airport where he signed autographs and took pictures with his adoring fans.

Too bad Robert wasn't on the ground to watch Saturday night's World Series game; the Yankees beat the Phillies, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon opens November 20 and Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and the rest of the cast are all on a crushing promotion tour until then.
