It was revealed in documents unsealed Tuesday that Michael Jackson's funeral cost $855,730.01.

The funeral, held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on September 3rd, is to be paid for by the late star's estate.

The cost included $175,086.31 to the Glendale Police Department and city support, internment $590,000, upkeep of the mausoleum $88,500, casket $25,000, flower van $125 and casket coach $295.

That also included 24 empty crypts around him. There is no one else on the floor that Micheal is on. Here was a person that was all by himself in life and only wanted to be buried near kids, but La Toya made sure even in death he will be alone.

He had an amazing talent but $855K is way too much to spend on a funeral when there are starving people in the world.

OMG give him a break. Let the man rest. So what of the cost. it was his family's rights to spend as much as they please and how do we know that it wasn't his wishes.

They knew his wishes, he mentioned it in an interview. He did not want to be buried with no one around him, him wanted to be buried near kids where he felt the love and security that he said who are the only ones that can give it to you.

so wrong to worship the dead, and so wrong to put that kind of money into a funeral, what is wrong with Hollywood! Everything has to be overindulgence and overspending. MJ was NOT a God.

They said $1Million at the time of the funeral so that's a little less. Nonetheless he was interred in a beautiful place. RIP

The executors did feel it was exhorbitant but agreed. That's why the parent's are broke. Poor MJ...I don't even think HE would have spent as much. The crypt cost 600k so that was a signficant cost. RIP.
