Janet Jackson Opens Up About Split From Jermaine Dupri & Michael’s Death

Janet Jackson opened up for the first time about her breakup from longtime beau Jermaine Dupri and talked about how her family has been doing since the deal of her brother Michael. Walking around her palatial Los Angeles home, the pop star also discussed growing up Jackson- clarifying the abuse rumors and revealing how her dad Joe may have stunted her career.

“I think we've been doing well. I have a very strong family," she told Robin Roberts during their ABC News interview which aired Wednesday night.

Speaking of family, she also turned her attention to her upbringing. Michael publicly accused Jackson patriarch Joe of having abused them. However, Janet simply calls their father “old school,” explaining that his overbearing personality "may extrapolate into being a little abusive."
One thing she does say Joe did was derail her thriving acting career (she was on both Good Times and Diff’rent Strokes) by making her focus on music instead.

Despite the early bumps in her life, she credits ex Jermaine Dupri for helping her accept who she is.
Having battled with her body image since she was a child, Dupri helped her feel “very comfortable” with her body.
Now she realizes: "I'm fine the way I am. There's nothing wrong with me."

Michael Jackson caused his own death, he made a choice a selfish choice to continue on the drug train, Jacksons mother is no better than the father she allowed him to abuse her children, she stayed with him while he abused the children!!

They are all so soft spoken, they got that from their mother Katherine. Such a large family, they have lived very private lives.

i love Janet. she is beautiful and talks intelligently unlike other hollywood stars who spit out gabbage whenever they open their mouths.

Bless this family and his friends. I hope if this Dr. caused this that he is arrested and sets behind bars for the rest of his life.
