Good Morning America Cancels Adam Lambert Concert

The backlash from Adam Lambert’s controversial performance at the American Music Awards continues.

On Tuesday, Good Morning America cancelled on Lambert, who was set to perform on the network show on Wednesday.

An ABC spokeswoman said, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, the American Idol runner-up received support from various gay and lesbian groups on Monday following ABC’s decision to cut portions of his AMA performance during which Lambert kissed a guy on stage and simulated oral sex.

“It’s unfortunate that ABC and Dick Clark Productions censored the performance for west coast audiences, highlighting the double standard that still exists for gay entertainers,” Jeremy Kinser, senior editor of The Advocate, told RadarOnline.com.

I voted for Adam on American Idol, but this performance was horrible!!! He was off key, and the dancers were nasty. Adam was nasty. It was just to much for t.v. I was so disappointed!!!!!!!!!

I am very pro gay rights...but this has nothing to do with being gay. If Beyonce had been up there simulating oral sex or fingering her dancers crotch..I would find it eaqually disgusting. If you have talent you don't need this kind of stuff

Public channels have regulations to follow,this behavior crosses the LINE! I want you to entertain not give me your political views or your sexual preferences. NBC, CBS, ABC have rules, so don't blame the channel for cutting it out!!!

Making crude disrespecful show knowing kids are watching is wrong especially in the premature stage of a carreer. He just lost much respect right after people getting over the gay thing. That''s what he gets, lost jobs, who can trust him on stage.

Good decision GMA. I thought he wanted to be known for his singing, not his lifestyle. I'm sure the San Francisco parade next year will save a spot for him.
