Britney Spears Invites Kids From Hospital Backstage In Sydney

Not all the news about the Britney Spears tour in Australia is negative. The pop princess invited several girls from the Children's Hospital Randwick to meet with her backstage before her Tuesday night show.

The girls, ages 10 to 14, were thrilled to meet superstar Spears at the Acer Arena.
The Australian leg of The Circus Starring Britney Spears has been rife with controversy ranging from complaints about Britney's lip-syncing to less-than-stellar ticket sales.

Britney herself has seemed unfazed by it all and has enjoyed her down time between shows by playing tourist with sons Preston and Jayden and boyfriend Jason Trawick.

Britney's tour moves to Brisbane November 22 and wraps in Adelaide, Australia November 29. The tour began in New Orleans last March.

BTW, I've spent time volunteering at a large children's hospital and met some kids...believe me the staff would not let them go if it was not safe, and most wish they could leave. It could also be very disruptive to have a major celeb onsite.

At least she didnt take them on stage and showcase for poorly veiled PR stunt then take all the credit when it's the kids who are the real heroes fighthing life threatning diseases like cancer.

I laugh when I remember a fan rushing the stage in the last few months or so. The reporter says, "Britney screamed." Only no one could hear her as her mic was dead and she was lipsyncing!

ANYONE with a brain knows that Britney is "studio"....she's not a singer, she's an ENTERTAINER...so shut up and either listen, or don't.

After she completes her tour, she's proven to be the comeback queen. Now, perhaps she can get out of Hollywood and have some normalcy and mother her children.
