BREAKING NEWS: Jon Gosselin Changes Mind On Appearance; Sparse Crowd Shows Up

Jon Gosselin had a last minute change of heart and showed up for his confessional with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at the West Side Jewish Center in New York Sunday night.
Gosselin's appearance was announced days ago but the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star got cold feet as the 7 PM Sunday start time approached and he almost didn't make it. He eventually did, looking nervous and more than 30 minutes late. He blamed the NYC Marathon traffic for his delay.
Maybe he shouldn't have bothered. The hall that had been booked for the event was only about one-quarter full, one eyewitness told RadarOnline.com. "And of that, there were about 75 media people there and only about 50 members of the paying public."
Tickets were advertised for $25 in advance or at the door, but with so few fans attending, they didn't even bother to collect at the door, the source said.
Gosselin spoke for more than an hour.

We're watching this LOSER reap the consequences of his actions. He's having a long overdue meltdown but gets no sympathy from here. Jon wanted to play & now it's time to PAY. Everyone knew this would happen..with more to come.

Hailey probably encouraged Jon to go and speak and collect the money..maybe they shared a toke before he was on his way..highly doubt he could show up in disgrace sober!

Jon couldn't possibly have NOT turned up at Shumley's event. First of all the MEDIA was going to be there and we all know how he loves that. Second: He would have pissed off Shumley too the other media hog

Nah, I'll bet that Jon got a FURIOUS phone call from Shmuley balling him out and ordering him there. And Jon was too afraid to say no.

Toots It's interesting that only one media outlet (Jon's paying media) were the only ones to report that there was a low turn out at the book signing. The rest of the media outlets reported that Kate was swamped with people wanting autographs

The sad truth is that he DOES need someone who cares about him to intervene right now, to lead him away to somewhere quiet to recover. Where is his family???
