BREAKING NEWS: Balloon Boy Dad Richard Heene Surrenders to Authorities

Richard Heene, the mastermind behind the balloon boy stunt, has surrendered himself to the police and RadarOnline.com has obtained his booking photo taken in Colorado after he turned himself in on Thursday.

Heene and his wife Mayumi are expected to plead guilty to a hoax: he to a felony offense of attempting to influence a public servant and she to a misdemeanor offense of false reporting to authorities.

He turned himself in at the Larimer County Detention Center. The couple is expected in court on November 13.

There needs to be financial restitution to all entities that were pulled into this hoax. I'll be very disappointed if this guy just says, I'm sorry I made a mistake, and that's it.

These people have no money so I guess they'll have to put him in jail. Either way the government pays. No one benefits from this at all. I feel sorry for Mayumi, she is submissive to her husband's craziness.
