EXCLUSIVE: Kate Gosselin Responds And Slams Jon Over Reality Show

Kate Gosselin called out her soon-to-be ex-husband and his actions, releasing a statement on Thursday disputing everything Jon has said as his justification for trying to shut down their reality show.

Kate put out this statement:

"I'm saddened and confused by Jon's public media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children and was taping on Friday with the kids. I check in regularly with each of the kids to be sure they want to participate in and continue with the show and will continue to do so. I do the show for my family because I believe it provides us opportunities we wouldn't otherwise have. Jon used to share that belief until as recently as the day the network announced the name change of the show and indicated that Jon would have a lesser role in the show. It appears that Jon's priority is Jon and his interests. My priority remains our children and their well being."

Jon has demanded that the show halt taping, and his manager claimed in an interview Thursday that the kids have been complaining about the show.

But as RadarOnline.com reported exclusively, Jon went on video at the end of the summer saying it was “ridiculous” to think his kids didn’t love filming the show!

Now however, he wants out of his TLC contract and is denying permission for the family home to be used for taping and denying permission for his kids to be taped.

TLC announced they are suspending filming for now.

John’s manager Mike Heller also said Thursday about the show: It's been hurting the relationship that he's trying to reconcile with his wife – he's trying to get back with her as a parent."

John wants to reconcile with the money not Kate, and it is not for the children's sake but for his own. Loser might find out that nobody wants to watch him on any show and he will be left penniless with a hoe and a STD. What a poor excuse of a man!

Anna, you are right on! No one with a functioning brain can support Jon's actions. He has no moral compass and thinks only of himself, not his wife or children. he's not concerned that his kids are being harmed , only that his wallet is!

It is about time the kids have a normal life. For the reason I am on Jon's side on this one. Now Octo-Mom #1 will have to give up Steve and work..

TLC should have made sure the family was ready to be in the spotlight before continuing the show.I think they shirk their responsibility by solely blaming Jon.His antics were undesirable, but so was TLC's negligence.

Kate did an amazing job coupon clipping & finding deals when the kids were smaller.What happened to that?Add on the freebies/booksales/public speaking revenue and the kids aren't exactly starving.

Jon stated last night that they pulled in 500k.I'm sure with their publicity they can find ventures that don't involve the children.Like any family they need to cut expenses.

People should be supporting his decision to turn the cameras off his children. He may be late to the party, I don't know all his intentions but if the end result is the end of the kids being filmed - I support Jon on closing it down.
