Rosie O’Donnell’s wife has moved out and is spending most nights away from her, RadarOnline.com has exclusively confirmed.

Kelli Carpenter took their youngest child and moved into the couple’s Manhattan condo several months ago.

Rosie admitted Wednesday that she is having problems with the relationship, but refused to say if she and Kelli have split, instead telling USA Today: "We're a family, we remain a family and we're working on the issues.”

But Kelli is the one who initiated the split, sources told RadarOnline.com. Rosie has been staying in the couple’s Nyack, NY home with their three adopted children.

The reason behind the split? Kelli could no longer deal with Rosie’s mood swings, sources told RadarOnline.com.

If you read Rosie's blog she appears sad for much of the time. That depression is difficult for a partner to live with day in and day out.

They bought their neighbors house next door when she died. They own two HUGE house in Nyack, the condo in NYC,and the mansion on Star Island in Miami Beach. They can be away from each other easily.

Kelli's OFFICE for the cruise company moved to NYC and Kelli probably stays in the city a lot. I do not think Kelli would take Vivi out of the private school they love in Nyack and put her in a NYC school.

Rosie had been in therapy for YEARS & takes medication for depression. She dearly loves all 4 of her children and they love her. She and Kelli both spend quality time with them & take turns taking each child individually on vacations.

One only need read Rosie's blog to see how difficult and mentally ill she is. I do not know how Kelli ever put up with her. She thinks the US government caused 9-11 by claiming that steel can't burn.
