Eddie Cibrian told talk show host Rachael Ray on Monday that he is doing everything he can to protect his children from the media firestorm that has broken out since he left wife Brandi Glanville as rumors sparked he was seeing (then-married) singer LeAnn Rimes.
"I want them to just be kids and enjoy life," Cibrian said of his children, Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. "I try to shield them as much as possible. My philosophy is to try to insulate them so they're not subject to anything regarding the business and anything of tabloid nature."

Cibrian explained why he has stayed relatively silent about his personal affairs, as the dirt on his love life remains splattered across tabloids and blogs.

"Sometimes, you want to fight back," the 36-year-old TV beefcake said. "I don't think it's very conducive to play anything private out publicly at all. I mean, I think it's very hurtful. The unfortunate part about it is that you get only one side of a very complicated story. But you know, I'm fine with that."

Rimes, who sang the smash hit How Do I Love had a Vanilla, good girl rep until she announced the end of her seven-year marriage to former dancer Dean Sheremet amidst allegations she was two-timing him with Cibrian.
Cibrian appeared on Ray’s show to plug CSI: Miami, which airs Mondays at 10/9c on CBS.

People can change or they can have an open marriage. Bless each and every one of them.

Beefcake my ass. He is not handsome. The two cheaters deserve each other. What comes around goes around.

I personally think the high road would have been to STOP cheating on your wife and try to make the marriage work, the children need an intact family, Lee Ann Rhimes should not be a HOMEWRECKER!

Once a cheater always a cheater!

If he and LEANN decide to give it a "go" I wish them every happiness. They both have a sunshine about them. Blessings on the union if, it comes to that

Great interview but too short. He's taking the high-road as Rachel said and the audience applauded thinking that is the right thing to do.
