Actor Dennis Quaid wasn’t about to do a Lindsay or Mel – getting pulled over for DUI, that is.

On Wednesday night, The GI Joe star took a cab home with his wife Kimberly after apparently having too much to drink at Phillipes restaurant in West Hollywood, California after attending the premiere of the movie, One Peace At A Time.

When Quaid left the restaurant, he got behind the wheel of his car, ready to take off. A cop passing by stopped to chat with the star and persuaded him not to drive home.

Quaid agreed with the officer, parked his car, and went back inside the restaurant to call a taxi.

He should have been given the DUI he deserved. His wife condoned that? They both are totally irresponsible!

I don't get these actors and actresses they have a ton of money why not call a cab for God's sake? but no they take a chance on killing someone on the way home, he is not responsible the cop got on him!

Looks to me like he was going to drive if the police officers hadn't shown up when they did. I guess a nanny is taking care of the children. If you're too drunk to drive then you're too drunk to care for children.
