Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon and her partner Christine Marinoni were among the thousands who participated in The National Equality March promoting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights in Washington, DC Sunday.

The actress and Christine, an education activist, have lived together since 2004 and became engaged in March. They want to marry in New York as soon as the state legalizes same sex unions.
The couple marched with a group called Broadway Impact.
Lady GaGa was also spotted in the crowd.
