Whoopi On Patrick: I Owe Him Much

As the news of Patrick Swayze's death spreads through the community, his friends and colleagues are beginning to remember happier times and reflect on the actor's legacy. Whoopi Goldberg shared her thoughts on how she will remember the fallen star.
"Patrick was a really good man, a funny man and one to whom I owe much that I can't ever repay," she said in a statement. "I believe in Ghost's message, so he'll always be near."
Swayze passed away on Monday surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.

They played off of each other so beautifully in that movie, the best thing about it IMO. Nice sentiments Whoopi. May Patrick RIP and my prayers are with Lisa and his loved ones.

Patrick Swayze was an amazing actor and incredible dancer. He was also a rarity a true gentleman who personified grace and class. God speed you into heaven Patrick.

Oy. I still watch that movie and cry. He was an incredible person. May comfort be with his wife and those closest to him. There are just no words.......
