VIDEO: Randy Jackson On Idol’s New Judge – “Dude, I Love Ellen”

RadarOnline.com was first to reveal that Ellen DeGeneres was joining American Idol as the fourth judge, replacing Paula Abdul, now Randy Jackson is telling Fox News he's pleased his longtime friend would be joining him, Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi on the top-rated show’s judge panel.
"Dude, I love Ellen, I've known her a long time," Jackson said of his show biz colleague.
Jackson said the comedian-turned-talk show host's lack of a musical background would not matter much.
"Between me, Simon and Kara, there's enough musical experts" on the judging panel, Jackson said.
American Idol returns to Fox in January for its ninth season.

i think Ellen will be a great addition to American Idol. Paula Abdul was a turn off esp, after she came out on stage either drugged up or tipsy, slurring her words.. Ellen is a funny lady.

I like ellen but she is not right for this. They should have let America vote on who would be in the 4th seat.

american idol is turning hgtv ish.. not gay bashing but isnt she really good for daytime .. when my tv is not on basically.. hey i do love ellen d. she is different... but so was paula...
