VIDEO INTERVIEW: Jaycee’s Biological Father Breaks Down; Wants To Be in Her Life

In an emotional press conference held Wednesday in attorney Gloria Allred’s office in Los Angeles, the biological father of Jaycee Lee Dugard, Kenneth Slayton, broke down in tears as he revealed his desire to connect with the daughter he has never seen.

Reading a statement, Allred said, “Kenneth wants to assure Jaycee that he wants absolutely nothing from her and he simply wants to provide a positive male role model for her and her children.” Allred added that Slayton wants DNA testing done to determine his paternity.

Slayton, 63, was emotional as he recalled his brief fling with Jaycee’s mother, Terry Susan Dugard. The two dated for a month before Slayton claims Susan became pregnant. Slayton said he wasn’t sure the baby was his or whether Susan would even keep it. He says he lost contact with her shortly after that, and never saw Jaycee.

“I have had many nightmares over the years wondering if I could have done more to help Susan and the baby,” he said fighting tears. “We are hoping and praying that she will hear us and take the first step in helping us confirm that she is my daughter.”

Slayton also said he chose to hire Allred as his attorney because he feels she has the ability to make the proper contact with the FBI and the Dugard family, which up to now he has been unable to do. Both Slayton and Allred say money is not behind his efforts to establish a relationship with Jaycee.
Jaycee and the Dugard family have been offered seven-figure financial deals to sell the rights to their story, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Imagine that Gloria pops-up again! How amazing this woman manages to be there when ever there is a story to be had. Instead of being a ambulance chaser she is a glorified news hound for attention chaser .

I did not read all of the article, did not watch the video, but he needs to stay out of these girls lives. You can't come into someones life after all this time, after what this girl has been through.

Why is he holding a press conference? Next he will be making the talk show rounds. More importantly where was he with all his tears when Jaycee was kidnapped????? Gloria Allred a big opportunist probably dug him up herself

If this "dad" cared even one iota for Jaycee and her girls, he would shut his pie hole immediately. They have been through enough. This infuriates me. Where was he when Jaycee's mom was pregnant, giving birth, raising her for those 11 yrs?

I wouldn't doubt that it was GA who put Ken Slayton up to this. How would he know to contact her? She's a Fame**** of the first degree. He lost any parental rights he had when he didn't man up when Jaycee was born.
