Tila Tequila Bares Bruises After Alleged Attack By Boyfriend Shawn Merriman

Tila Tequila looked solemn -- baring an arm full of bruises -- as paps snapped the reality TV diva departing a hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Thursday.

The 27-year-old reality TV star issued a citizen's arrest Sunday against her boyfriend, San Diego Chargers defender Shawne Merriman, accusing him of two felonies: battery and false imprisonment. The beauty was hospitalized after the alleged attack, while the 270-pound linebacker was in custody briefly, as the 93-pound Tequila claimed he choked and restrained her.

Merriman has countered, saying he was trying to prevent the A Shot At Love star from driving while intoxicated.

Merriman Monday will likely hear some catcalls as he takes the field in one of the NFL's most hostile environments, The Oakland-Alameda Coliseum, when his Chargers kick off their season against the Raiders on ESPN's Monday Night Football.

Being a survivor, I can most certainly tell you that my arms (and legs) on many times looked EXACTLY like that on many occasions. Those are very deep bruses.

Looks like she was restrained her in a way that caused her to bruise. No bruises on her face/neck; just on her arm, maybe to prevent a drunk from leaving? Not justifying/excusing it but it doesn't look like a typical "attack"!
