Is the pressure of appearing before millions of American television viewers getting to Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle?
RadarOnline.com has learned that the famous 48-year-old singer was spotted looking fragile at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles Tuesday.
Boyle was treated for nervous exhaustion at the Priory Clinic in London after coming runner-up in Britain's Got Talent which propelled her to superstar status after over 100 million people watched her performance on the Internet.

But Tuesday at the five star retreat Boyle looked disorientated as she appeared for breakfast at the hotel where she has private $1500 a night suite.
Wearing a pink top, blue sweat pants and no make-up, the performer sat alone at a booth holding her head in her hands and looking like she was about to cry at times.
She perked up however when a waitress went over to speak with her before bringing her a light breakfast.
Just before 10am Boyle returned to her private suite in the hotel which is a favorite of Nancy Reagan, Joan Collins and Joan Rivers.

Her assistant was overheard talking on her cell phone about Susan's "history of illness" and that she shouldn't take "any risks."
Susan is due to appear on Wednesday's finale of America's Got Talent where she is scheduled to sing the Rolling Stones classic Wild Horses.
American Idol guru Simon Cowell - who is guiding her Stateside career - has vowed to protect Boyle following her very public meltdown earlier this year.
She was not spotted at the hotel for the remainder of the day and stayed in her private suite with her assistant who is understood to have a medical background and was hand-picked by Cowell and his team.
Hotel staff were spotted taking food to the suite which has it's own private balcony while the shutters were drawn shut.
A bodyguard was on hand to make sure that no unwanted intruders got close to the performer who is being tipped to become a multi-millionaire if her career takes off in America.
It's understood that she was due to tape her performance Tuesday night for the America's Got Talent finale which will air on Wednesday.
But if her handlers felt that the pressure may have gotten too much for her then they might decide to pull her from the show.
Susan Boyle's brother Gerry exclusively told Radar Online.com that his sister could not wait to perform before her American fans and that he understood that her health was good.

What a HOT LOAD OF GARBAGE! Susan was happy as could be during her visit to the US and did not even go ANYWHERE alone. That is not even a recent photo of Susan. Take your tabloid crap to Britain!

Leave this woman alone! I wish her the best of everything. She has gone from being the ugly stepdaughter to Cinderella! I would be holding my head from time to time too, wondering if this were really true. Leave her alone!

I just read that friend of hers from the "Pub" passed away. She must feel so far away from her friends!

For those who say they were AFRAID to let her sing live, I guess that's the case for all of the guest performers then too, right?

The shutters may have been closed, but she wasn't in the room, she was at the studio.
Maybe she did look a little tired in the morning. Let's see, a long flight, Disneyland, meeting with record execs, jet lag, umm I think that would do it.

They taped acts that would take too long to set up in a live show. That included Cirque du Soleil and Susan Boyle, who was singing with an orchestra. Think they can get an orchestra seated and tuned up during a commercial? Of course not.

All the acts were taped. Guess we were too quick to believe our papers would not stoop to print lies and misrepresentations like the British press.

Susan was suppose to appear live because Demi Moore was planning on going to the show and introducing herself to Susan backstage. What a farce. All hype and over rated.
