Looks like subversive style prevailed at the premiere of the new arctic thriller Whiteout in Los Angeles Wednesday night.
Star Kate Beckinsale dazzled in a gorgeous black gown, bucking the obvious color tie-in with her film (and following her Labor Day rules!).

The constructed waist and full length skirt can't detract from Kate's gorgeous shape, topped off with a gold statement necklace that throws a Cleopatra vibe, with gold plated cuff.
Kim and Khloe Kardashian were also on hand to bring the noir -- both in black with full red lips.
