Lab technician Raymond Clark was arrested on Thursday in the killing of Yale graduate student Annie Le and may have a history of disturbing behavior. A high school girlfriend recently came forward claiming he forced her to have sex with him when she was 16. Clark was taken into custody for the Le murder at a hotel and his bond has been set for $3 million.

More on the DNA probe

The unnamed ex-girlfriend was in “total, utter shock” about Clark’s possible involvement according to her Facebook posting quoted by the New Haven Independent.

She had first spoken to police on September 29, 2003, when they were called to her and Clark’s high school after a reported dispute following her attempt to break up with him. Detective Ronald Washington wrote at the time: "[the girl] wished to tell me of an incident that took place; however, did not want it pursued by this department. She stated that she had been having a sexual relationship with [Clark] and that at one time [Clark] did force her to have sex with him. The relationship did continue after that incident; however, she is unsure of what he may do as a result of the breakup." Clark was advised to stay away from her.

Police have yet to comment on a possible motive in the Le murder.

This concerns their working together; he was angry at mistreatment of animals, etc, so he "went postal" on her. NO sex motive or unrequited lust; just anger at the job that SHOULD have been addressed by supervisors
