Jon Gosselin Interview: Gets Advice From Doctor Phil, Talks About Hitting The Bottle

Jon and Kate Plus 8's Jon Gosselin opened up in an ABC Primetime Interview on Tuesday night, even tearing up at one point.

Jon broached a number of subjects including the breakup with Kate, and how she made the first move, the lovable characteristics of each of his children and the abuse he claims to have suffered at the hands of soon to be ex wife Kate.

Jon also talked about his depression saying, "When it got so bad, I was sitting there in my garage thinking I don't even sleep in my home anymore."
And talking about when it came to head with Kate, "She [Kate] came storming in one night and said, 'I don't even know why I got married to you.' It was out of the blue. I don't know why she said it. She should of gone to therapy. Go to therapy and figure it out. Give me closure." She ended it first, he claims.

On his romance with Hailey Glassman Jon says," I didn't leave Kate for Hailey. Not true. You can't control who you love. I strongly believe that. I just know. I have so much to lose in this situation but I feel with this person it's just going to get better.

And on going through his crisis with Hailey, "We enjoy watching movies together, sitting on a sofa. She doesn't party."
Jon also reveals that he and Kate met with Dr. Phil in the Spring where he advised them on how to brand themselves. "We talked about the brand and it was weird. It wasn't helping."
Jon denies blowing his kids money on partying and lavish spending saying, "I'm banking my money. I'm not spending my money on drugs and alcohol. For a while I turned to the bottle. I've had to watch it because it's hereditary.

My opinion of jon is he wanted to run around , party , screw whoever try to look good . he look's like a short fat guy with a bald spot still. He need's to control his out of control hormones and think of his kid's.

Men don't ever put there wives down. No matter what . like I said I'm not with my kid's mother but would never talk that way about her. watching the kid's grow up on tlc was cute I loved there cute little faces .

I agree, but that works both way. Women shouldn't put there husbands down. Either way it goes...it doesn't make for a good marriage. This has never been a good marriage. Arguing is one thing but constant belittling is yet another. DOOMED!!!

Maybe so , but you think of your kid's and take another relationship slowly . he jump's to fast and also need's to watch who he pick's for his kid's future stepmom. and I think right now he's making a big mistake.

Funny if jon trashes Kate- he is a big man standing up for himself. If Kate did the same she's a ****. Jon gets a pass. If he had something to say say it to Kate, especially since he only accomplished destroying what was left of his reputation.
