EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: DWTS Maksim Says He and Karina Are Trying To Figure Things Out

Fans of Dancing With The Stars were shocked to learn that Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy broke up earlier this month, and RadarOnline.com caught up with Maksim at The Suite Life: Skybar Emmy Suite on Friday in Los Angeles where he told us that he and Karina may not be totally over. "We don't know what's going to happen, we're trying to figure things out."

RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that Maksim dumped Karina because he simply couldn't take it anymore, and he told us that no matter how many good things there are about Karina "It only sometimes takes one [bad thing] that's not and unfortunately that's how it works sometimes."
The couple will be dancing together Sunday at the Emmy Awards but Maksim let us know one thing up about his relationship status and trying to figure out how to go from friends to engaged to back to friends - "I don't have friends with benefits!"

Hes lucky he saw the red flags w her personality before mariiage...It would just get worse....He doged a bullet..His life would havebeen a licing hell w a controlliny woman
