He lost out to Kelly Clarkson in the very first season of American Idol but he won the heart of his high school sweetheart, and Saturday Justin Guarini and Reina Capodici became husband and wife during a romantic and intimate ceremony in Pennsylvania.

RadarOnline.com was the first with the news of the big event.

Fifty friends and family members attended the lovely wedding which took place at a private estate overlooking the Delaware River.  The reception was held at the Doylestown, PA home of Justin's parents, Kathy and Jerry Guarini.

Reina's daughter, Lola, 4, was also there.

Justin and Reina both grew up in Doylestown and dated in high school. They recently re-connected and realized they were meant for each other.

There was no American Idol-type music at their reception.  A group called the Vitamin String Quartet played tunes from Radio Head and Peter Gabriel.

Justin was a favorite of Paula Abdul in that first AI season.
