It's over between Dancing With The Stars' Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

The two, who got engaged after just three months of dating, were planning a `June 2010 wedding.

Chmerkovskiy proposed to Smirnoff just before the clock struck midnight on New year's eve, only six months after she split with her ex dancing partner, Mario Lopez.

The couple are scheduled to dance together at the Emmys in two weeks.

Their entire "engagement" seemed so manufactured to me. All the interviews full of cliches about marriage and the lack of sincerity both seemed to have when it came to such a union. Oh well, they did get a few tab covers out of it...
