Ellen DeGeneres Named Fourth Idol Judge; Replacing Paula Abdul

As RadarOnline.com was the first to reveal, it's official, Ellen DeGeneres is joining American Idol!
The Emmy award winning talk show host is set to be the fourth judge and she's twittering about it for all to read.
"Guess what? Go ahead… nope… keep guessing… Okay, I’ll just tell you--I’m gonna be the new judge on American Idol!" Ellen twittered early Wednesday evening.

According to a source close to the situation there will be a conference call in a couple of days where all the details will be released. Ellen is "very excited" the source tells RadarOnline.com.

Ellen will be making an announcement on her show that airs Thursday.

I really liked Paula and I think it was wrong for the producers to not give her the raise she asked for . But I am happy to have Ellen , very nice woman

Love ellen she will add some laughter to an other wise really boring show. She ellen does alot for people she is an outstanding humanbeing. Paula needs rehab she is koo koo for coco puffs.

I Love Ellen but I'm somewhat torn. You need someone who's in the music business. Ellen wouldn't be able to tell if that person hit a right note or was the pitch somewhat off.

I like Ellen but she was not right for this show at all..... Should have gotten Paula back or better Queen Latifah would have been excellent! Too bad dont think I will be watching anylonger.
