Selena Gomez led Friday night's Disney Channel special, Wizards of Waverly The Movie, to the highest ratings of any cable TV show in 2009. Take that Jon & Kate Plus 8!
A favorite of the tween set, Wizards is a comedy about three siblings with magical powers. It premiered in 2007 and its growing popularity motivated the folks at Disney to shoot the dice with an expanded movie. It paid off big. WW The Movie pulled in an astounding 11.4 million viewers, topping the Jon & Kate "We're getting divorced" episode on TLC by more than a million.
Selena, 17, will next be appearing at the D23 Expo -- a Disney fan "experience" Sept. 13 at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.

she is a cutie, jon and kate will fade away as jon not only ruined and dishonored the family name,just looking at him i get sic. i hope he ends up pennyless and has to get a paper route to feed his fat ass. u don'tgetrespectwhen u live off your kids.

Finally...a real honest show that got ratings for good entertainment, not a stupid ratings boost because two idiots are getting a divorce.
