Michael Douglas Speaks Out On Son's Arrest

Michael Douglas has finally broken his silence on the recent behavior of son Cameron Douglas.
"The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron's recent behavior. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be," Douglas said in a statement.
Cameron was busted last week for his part in a major drug trafficking attempt in New York City. He was placed on house arrest, but moved to an NYC detention center on Wednesday after his girlfriend delivered him an electric toothbrush full of heroin.
Accomplished actor Michael is no stranger to testing his parents--the actor went through a very public battle with so-called sex addiction in the 80s.

I don't think Cameron was involved in this drug trafficking network just because he was hungry, he has the money to live a decent life, why would he get involved in such a mess?

a LOT of People cannot afford to buy drugs!! Cameron Douglas led his entire life in privilege. He has been in trouble before and didn't learn nothing.. he even had hisg/f smuggle heroin in a toothbrush. i don't feel sorry for him..

I honestly can't stand people who say things like u! Please educate urself on addictions and step off the soapbox. I wish the Douglas family all the best. It doesn't matter if u r famous or not,Alot of people have to deal with these same issues.
