In the morning both Jon and Kate Gosselin saw the girls off to their first day at school, after meeting in the car park.
But it's a solo Kate that greets her twin girls, Mady and Cara on their way home

A somber looking Kate greets the girls at the bus door and escorts them to their car. Maybe she's exhausted from her whirlwind media tour of late, which has included a teary appearance on The Today show and a composed and serious stint on Larry King Live.

Okay, has anyone else found it a bit odd that a mother of eight, picking her kids up after school, finds it practical to wear high heels? She dresses for the press she claims to despise.
