Who knew Jennifer Aniston had some singing chops. The actress has signed on to headline a film about a 1940’s all-female country band that formed in- where else- prison!
Goree Girls is the true story about eight women who formed one of the first all-girl country and western acts in the country. They soon became a public favorite and were eventually pardoned. Aniston is also a producer on the film.
Production will begin in January. Reese Witherspoon grabbed her Oscar as June Cash so maybe this will be Jen’s award-winning vehicle.
