EXCLUSIVE: Mel Gibson's Wife Leaves Country As Divorce Nearly Finalized

Mel Gibson's long-suffering wife Robyn has left the U.S. for a much-needed break as her divorce will be made official within days, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Robyn took off for Fiji with Tommy, the youngest of her 7 children with Mad Mel, a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com.

And the timing for a getaway is perfect: Mel and Robyn's 29-year marriage will be officially dissolved within days, sources tell RadarOnline.com.

It's probably fortunate that Robyn left the country with their 10-year-old as Mel's pregnant girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva has taken a higher profile recently.

The Russian-born beauty, who also has a child by former James Bond actor, Timothy Dalton, now has Mel's money and clout behind her attempt to get recognition for her music career. Earlier this week CNN ran an extensive interview with her that heavily promoted her music.

Mel has said he and Robyn have been separated for years, but their divorce papers listed different dates of separation and they were still living at the same address. There is a $900 million fortune at stake.

IF I could talk to Robyn I would tell her to hold off for just a month. I feel Mel's going to BEG to have her back in his life. I believe he's "finally" learnt the errors of his ways...and honestly...

I think she'd even be surprised at what he'd do, if she would just talk with him, as a friend. If she and he were to take it slow and just be friends for awhile (don't get the divorce yet though).

I truly think Mel has gone through one of the worst "HOLLYWEIRD" middle age crisis EVER! IMHO that is. I feel a "POOR EVERYONE(minus Ox)" is in need here! Wow...what a whammer-jammer!

MEL GIBSON HAS BROKE UP FROM THE RUSSIAN **** 2 WEEKS AGO, 2 DAYS AFTER THE NIGHT CLUB INCIDENT. HE IS NOW FREE FORM THAT NIGHTMARE WHO IS STILL FAKING PREGNANCY, AND TO BE WITH HIM AND TO CAN SING, WHEN NONE OF THOSE ARE TRUE.

Robyn has none for years what Mel was like she decided to stay with him shes not suffering from anything but her own free choice. I think the only reason she is divorcing him now is because of the baby otherwise it would be buisness as usual.

I would leave for Fiji too if I have to endure my ex's wretch on TV this morning. Who wants to see that? I'll take my money and run for the hills. Mel's a drunk jerk anyway. Good for Robin.
