TV host Lisa Ling's sister Laura has finally been freed after being imprisoned in North Korea, after entering the country illegally while reporting a story.
And who is to thank? Former President Bill Clinton.
Laura and Euna Lee were both reporters for Al Gore's Current TV and were initially sentenced to twelve years in prison. Their reprieve came from North Korean President Kim Jong II shortly after he met with Clinton.
Clinton, the Ling sisters and Laura's colleague Euna Lee are all headed back to the US, where the Ling family is ecstatic to embrace their chldren.
"We are counting the seconds to hold Laura and Euna in our arms," the Ling family said in a statement.
Good thing they had friends in high places!

They did this to themselves and I hope they learned a lesson. Some people think that laws don't pertain to them. They are lucky Clinton pulled this off.

why do American reporters, esp. WOMEN go sticking their big fat noses in a Communist country? 1 or both had SMALL children. what could these 2 women have to say about North Korea that was SOO important? what IF they had to serve the 12 yrs?
