Both on a break from their bustling movie careers, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon enjoyed a night beneath the stars on Sunday. The couple joined a fellow grouping of celebrities at the Hollywood Bowl for the Ray LaMontagne/Jenny Lewis/Blitzen Trapper show.

After a few hours of swaying to the smooth musical stylings with other notables like Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, and Evangeline Lilly, the couple tried to make their way through the gaggle of assembled photographers.

One possible reason for Gyllenhaal's intense gaze? An unusually mellow Witherspoon who seemed in a slight stupor from possibly one too many glasses of wine.

Soft rock, a studly date, and a swig or two of Chardonnay- sounds like a wonderful way to end the weekend. Kudos to Reese!
