Christian Bale has made it abundantly clear what a dedicated method actor he is.

Whether playing the brooding and handsome Bruce Wayne turned gravel-voiced Batman or the yell-happy John Conner in Terminator, Bale gives it his all.

This isn't the first time Bale has completely changed his body mass for a part. For 2004's The Machinist, Bale dropped nearly 30 lbs, surviving on an  apple and a can of tuna each day.

And who could forget his infamous rant on the set of Terminator: Salvation?  Bale later apologized but credited his fury to building his character--who  had a touch of insanity.
