Kate Gosselin and her pack of eight arrived in the Big Apple today, where the bunch checked in to the Essex House Hotel, located in the heart of Manhattan.
Just at the south entrance of Central Park, the Essex is not only a luxury spot but a stone's throw from Fifth Avenue shopping, Broadway shows and the electric Times Square.

While reports say Kate and the kids are just in town for a quick photo shoot, who knows what kind of adventures the eight plus mom could get into?
Let's just hope the avoid a run-in with dad and his new 22-year-old girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

JON is the fame ****. They even said it in the show. She's protecting and caring for her kids while Jon is out to dinner with star magazine!! HE is the fame ****! HE's the spender!!

Starting to look like a tyrant to those dear children. They look terrified. Girl, go back to nursing. Jon, get a real job. Back to reality folks before you destroy the children. The world is starting to hate what you two have become.

When is it ever going to be about the kids? The kids don't look happy. I just don't get it. I will NEVER watch the show ever again. There is no J&K+8 anymore, so how is it that the show will continue?TLC is a joke.

what kid would be happy their parents are getting divorced? You could lavish them with presents it's still going to hurt their dad abandoned them.

The picture shoot in New York was with the Dugger family, maybe Kate will pick up some healthy parenting skills, like not spanking and not shouting and not belittleing.

Why can't Kate see her children are miserable when cameras are around? And then to take them to NY for MORE photo shoots? OMG stop it already! I hope the kids sue when they're old enough. Emotional abuse!

Jon's visit with the kids wasn't very long. Once filming was over he ditched them again! It's obvious he doesn't want to be a parent anymore. Kate and the kids were holding him back!
