It was a fan frenzy on Thursday when Johnny Depp showed up to promote his latest film Alice in Wonderland at the 2009 Comic Con in San Diego.

The actor, sporting his signature scruff, joined director Tim Burton on stage, where he greeted screaming fans.

tim burton's take on this timeless classic should prove to be a feast for the senses! speaking of alice in wonderland... someone needs to make the Looking Glass Wars book series into a major epic film -- starring johnny of course :)
