EXCLUSIVE: Ryan O’Neal Has Never Visited Son In Jail

Ryan O’Neal has never visited his son in jail -- both before and after the death of Farrah Fawcett, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Redmond O’Neal saw his father at Farrah’s funeral and when he was granted a several hour visit to his mother Farrah, shortly before she died. That visit was recorded by cameras for Farrah’s documentary. But Ryan has stayed away from visiting his son, who is deeply shaken by his mother’s death.
Redmond is incarcerated at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, California where he is in an intensive drug rehab program.
Jail records show that Ryan has not visited him at Pitchess and did not visit him at the jail where he was previously locked up.
A source close to the situation confirms the estrangement and tells RadarOnlinecom: "Redmond was very close to his mother. Redmond and Ryan have never had a close relationship. Redmond has never really had a father figure in his life.
"The loss of his mother has truly shaken Redmond to his core, and in his final telephone conversation with Farrah, he promised her that he was committed to staying sober."
Redmond had two court appearances recently and Ryan, who also was arrested on drug charges last year, did not go to either of his son’s hearings.

If Ryan did not care about his son, then why did he fire the other attorneys that Ryan had and hire these two that was able to get him out of jail.

I think many of you forget, Ryan O'Neal is himself on probation for drugs and he can not visit anyone in jail or prison while he is on probation. That is the reason that he has not visited his son.

That's because Redmond isn't the one with money. I'm sure if Farrah left him millions Ryan would be there everyday with open arms and a camera crew...

Felons legally can't associate with other known felons ... that could explain it?

If you're right Chacooce and I'm certainly not saying you aren't, I don't know the laws then I agree...this is not news...just makes Ryan look bad when there's nothing he can do about visiting Redmond...

Ryan can't visit him as long as he is on probation, so why is this news. I bet if the man could go and visit his son, he would be there because he knows that he is hurting. It is a law that exprisioners can not visit the jails.
