EXCLUSIVE: Jon Gosselin Started The Rumors About Kate And Her Bodyguard, Says Source

Jon Gosselin intentionally started the rumors that his now-estranged wife was having an affair with their bodyguard Steve Neild, a well-placed insider has told RadarOnline.com.
“Jon wanted a divorce and he also wanted to throw attention away from himself, so he spread that rumor,” the source said. “Jon doesn’t like Steve so he didn’t care about the repercussions.”
Kate ended being the one who filed for divorce on June 22. “She didn’t want to, and in fact on the day the papers went in, Kate was with her attorney crying and sobbing. She was very, very upset,” the source added.
“Kate definitely did not want the divorce. She did it because she felt she had to protect herself.”
Steve, who is married, hasn’t been publically seen with Kate for several weeks although RadarOnline.com has learned he is still a “consultant” on the family’s security issues.
Kate has recently been travelling with another of the bodyguards. She arrived in Los Angeles on July 6 and stayed at the Hotel Bel-Air, where she was spotted relaxing by the pool. On Wednesday, Kate had a business lunch with two women at the hotel, before taking a car to the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank. She took in a two-hour meeting and then returned to her posh hotel. She returned home to PA on Thursday.
Speculation is rampant that Kate is actively pursuing several options to further her career as a TV personality and author. New episodes of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” are scheduled to return on TLC August 3.

BTW, KATE LIES (as seen numerous times on the show), so a statement from anyone she "confided" in should be suspect. She needs to drop out of the spotlight and take care of her kids. DON'T BE a TOOL for that witch.

Please. U believe KATE now? YOU reported she's got no friends/family left, so who's the "source" spewing lies to the tabloids now that J&K r not talking to the press? Is Aunt Jodi's story a lie? U printed it!

I bet the inside source is that scungy TLC executive EIleen O'Neill. She will lie through her teeth to try to save Kate.

Uh, when the radio personality reported seeing Kate and Steve kissing in a hotel lobby....just how did Jon make that happen?....Kate is likely the source behind this...she needs to be back in the spotlight....

Jon needs to grow up, stop partying with 23 year old girls and stop whining. They both need to take parenting classes and stop taking their anger out on the children whom as we all know is the reason they have the money they have now.

Jon really went down hill with the free trips of what HE loved to do, skiing, snowboarding and the BIG CHOPPER> Then he wanted out to play. I do hope is money does dry up real soon and he has to get a real job. See how he parties then???

Another excellent example of "NOT setting good examples for their children." Jon, if that is true and you did spread that rumor, how do you explain that behavior to your kids if they ever find out? Not a very christian thing to do either.
