EXCLUSIVE: $25 Charge To Attend Michael Jackson Memorial
Posted on Jul 02, 2009 @ 12:15PM

Fans who wish to attend Michael Jackson's star-studded memorial service at Staples Center will have to shell out $25 to sit in the stands, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Family, friends and VIPS will have seats on the main floor for The Tuesday, July 7th Staples service, first reported by RadarOnline.com, while the general public will be plucking down $25 to sit in the stands.
The memorial service will feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers, a lot of music and video screens inside and outside of Staples, a source close to the planning tells RadarOnline.com.
Michael Jackson's close friend Elizabeth Taylor is expected to attend, along with Diana Ross.
T-shirts that were going to be sold on Michael's upcoming "This Is It" tour will not go to waste. They will be sold outside Staples to people entering the service.
The service will be held between 10am PST and noon PST. The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey circus will be on standby, literally. The circus act just happens to be in town and is slated to begin their run at the Staples Center from July 8 to July 11.
"We will not be taking part in the memorial service," spokesperson Stephen Payne confirmed. "We are prepared to make any logistical changes with equipment and such to help out."

BTW, I don't believe this is Joe, although he would approve it-this smells like the greedy siblings and hangers-on

Few details were immediately available. But in a statement, Sunshine said that 11,000 tickets will be distributed to the general public free of charge....

Pathetic. Isn't this family and the promoters ashamed to be making a buck off a dead guy? Haven't they all sucked on the teet of MJ for enough years? What next, charging $1,000 to shovel his grave? His family is so crass.

WTF $25. I should have thought of that when my mom past away. How low can you go.

Only people who want to have a seat inside of STAPLES Center will have to pay for a ticket.
Can you imagine what it would be like inside if they just opened the place to anyone for FREE?

Forget it-they wouldn't be any stadium left. Why do you think Santa Barbara didn't want the memorial at Neverland? The new owners of Neverland would never allowed his fans to trample on it.

Same circus, different clowns.
How low class & greedy.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone sells t-shirts that say "I went to MJ's memorial service and all I got was a lousy t-shirt."
