David Letterman answered back to attacks from former Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin last evening on his late night chat show.

"Were the jokes in question in questionable taste? Of course they were," Letterman admitted of cracks he made that Palin's daughter engaged in sexual relations with Yankee Alex Rodriguez.

"Do I regret having told them? Well, I think probably I do."

Letterman went on to clarify that in no way would he "advocate or contribute to underage sexual abuse or misconduct," and that he'd even welcome Palin and her husband Todd as guests on his show.
