Swatches of Fraud: Dr. Phil's Decorating Drama
Posted on Jun 16, 2009 @ 06:58PM

Dr. Phil McGraw would be the first to tell you--healing starts at home.
That's why the talk show host and his wife Robyn are barking back at a decorating duo they claim has defrauded them of $655,000.
In papers filed on June 5 in Los Angeles County, the McGraw's claim that the interior design team Deborah Flattery and Brynja McGrady (who are suing the couple for breach of contract) lied about cost of goods, banked half of their desired fees for personal use.
The decoration in question was the revamping of the master suite in the McGraw's Beverly Hills property, in July 2008. The TV couple are requesting their $665k, punitive damages, and attorney's fees.
