They may have just gone through a public and often acrimonious divorce but Madonna and Guy Ritchie are learning to bury the hatchet- at least when the kids are involved. On Friday the director spent time with the singer and her new adopted daughter Mercy.

“He has nicknamed her Koala, as she has this habit of clinging to people and not wanting to let go,” a friend of Ritchie told the Daily Mail.

Ritchie also joined Madonna and the rest of their family at a Kabbalah service. Another possible reason for their reunion? Madonna’s eldest child, daughter Lourdes.

“She hated the fact that they were having a go at each other in the press,” said a source. “She told them to stop it. Since then Madonna has been making a real effort.”
